NATIONALIST AIM

SOUTH AFRICAN POLITICS

BLOEMFONTEIN, March 2"4.

The Nationalist leader, General Hertzog, addressing probably the final meeting of his Free State followers as a separate group, said:

"We want South Africa to be governed in the interests of white South Africans by white South Africans, but I warn you against the idea that this can be accomplished only by the exclusion of the English-speaking section. We will not stand together as an Afrikaans-speaking bloc for the purpose of throwing them out."
