JOCKEYS TO CONTRIBUTE
The executive of the New Zealand * Jockeys' Association held a special meeting in Wellington last week, and , among the business transacted was a decision to support the Governor- ;- General in- his appeal for patriotic funds. Members of the association ,
are to be asked to contribute as libe- „ rally as possible. Subscription list* - have been sent to the various branches'^ ' and are to be circulated among mern-^----bers during the Easter meetings.- X%'\ is hoped that a sum of about £200 «■'* will be thus raised. Manfred's career as a stallion has: ended.
