SCHOOL PICNIC

The South Wellington School Old? Pupils' and Parents' Association held a "Centennial" picnic recently. Some 500 children were transported from the school to Maidstone Park by trams and train. The children were well catered for in the way of races. Sweets were distributed in the train, and on the grounds each child received ice creams, apples, and drinks. This is,the first time the association has held a picnic and it was most successful. The committee thanks Mr. Edie and. staff for the support they gave the association, also the school committee for its help/ and co-operation.
