WOOL IMPORTS
RATIONING FORCIVILIAN CONSUMPTION
(Received March 16,. 1 p ( .m.)
LONEjON, March 15.
. Mr. Burgin' stated that he did not believe reports that there was a shortage of wool imports, but there was some difficulty in. regard ta shipping. More wool had been. purchased from New' Zealand.arid Australia than could be shipped. It would be necessary to ration wool for civilian consumption, but, there was no lack for export. Wool for home consumption for luxury purposes would be cut down by about half, but that did not mean that there would be a shortage of wool for the country's essential needs. Raw wool for export would be increased 25 per cent, during the rationing period.
