SECRET PLEDGES
GIVEN TO SWEDEN & NORWAY
EXPECTED ANNOUNCEMENT
LONDON, March 15.
Unusual interest is being taken in xMr. Chamberlain's war review in the House of Commons on March 19.
The "Daily Mail" says that Mr. Chamberlain will reveal that secret pledges were given to Sweden and Norway over two months ago and that both were told they could depend on Allied support if, as a consequence of helping Finland, they became in*vol -red in>.. war wiJn Germany or
Kussia. Britain and France made it clear that they regarded the integrity of Finland as an issue of European importance, but ' the Scandinavian countries did nothing.
