The.anti-cyclone has remained centred to.the north, while a series of shallow disturbances has been crossing the South Island. Except for a temporary change to southerly which .occurred in eastern districts of • the South Island yesterday, winds have-been mainly from between north arid west; force moderate to strong from Cook Strait southwards, elsewhere light to moderate. There has been some, scattered drizzlo and rain over Otago and Westland, but otherwise conditions have been. fair, to cloudy with mild to warm temperatures.
