WAR COUNCIL MEETS

The Turkish Supreme War Council, at the conclusion of a meeting, announced that the situation is entirely satisfactory.

The Ankara correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says that authorised persons declare that Turkey is ready to pit her utmost military strength against Russia if the Soviet, after its Finnish triumph, attempts to gain concessions affecting the Dardanelles. Reports from the Caucasus state that the Russians are evacuating all women and children from Batum, which is within range of Turkish artillery.
