PIANO RECITAL.

The young Christchurch pianist, Peter Cooper, will be heard in a recital at the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Saturday, evening at 8.15. A well-selected programme will include a Chopin group, the first book of the "Variations on a Theme by Paganini," by Brahms, and the Bach-Szanto "Organ Prelude and Fugue in G Minor." Beethoven will oe represented by the "Sonata in F Sharp Major, Op 78." Two works by Debussy, "Reflections in the Water" and "Serenade for the Doll," and Liszt's transcription of the famous quartet from "Rigoletto" will complete the programme, with the oossible addition of some of the works of the moderns.
