RAILWAY AMBULANCE CORPS

Members of the Wellington Railway Division of the St. John Ambulance, under Superintendent Lemmon, accompanied by members of the Nursing Division under Lady Superintendent Thomson, paid a visit to the Palmerston. North Railway Division. The visitors were entertained at dinner <md were afterwards taken on a tour of the town and the surrounding district. Before returning home afternoon tea was supplied by the Palmerston North members. Instruction classes have commenced again, and at the first meeting after the recommencement there was a large attendance, an encouraging sign being the presence of a number of new members. Mr. Dutton, Assistant District Commissioner, gave a talk on ambulance work, urging all those present to pursue their study of first-aid work beyond the limits required by the examinations.
