EASTERN SUBURBS SHOW
There was a fine display of flowers and vegetables at the autumn show of the Miramar and Eastern Suburbs Horticultural Society. A feature was the introduction of a competition between Eastern and Western Suburbs for classes in dahlias. Sir. A. J. Ma;uton (West) secured most points, and Messrs. W. D. Rough and H. J.. Cresves. (East) were runners-up. The judges were Mr. George Aggett and Mrs. R. A. N'icol. Mr. H. J. Crewes presented the trophies to the successful exhibitors. The champion bloom in open dahlias was, Mr. J?. K. London's "Daily Mail." The amateur champion and champion of champions, "Clara Carder," was shown by Mr. A. J. Manton; aud champion In the Intermediate classes was "Duke of Windsor,"'shown by Mr. J. Dutton.
