. Heading the batting averages for this season's. Plunket Shield cricket is V. Scott, of Auckland, iand he also has the highest aggregate. / Closely following him in average a/nd "aggregate are M. P. Donnelly, of Canterbury, and W. M. "Wallace, of Auckland, and then comes E. G. M^Leod. of Wellington, who has'an average greater than his highest score, • To J. Cowie goes the .distinction of hjaving the best bowling average, but Ti L. Pritchard. of Wellington, has easily the best bag and his average isx\very little short of that to Cowie's credit. D.
