AWARD FOR GALLANTRY

(Brltistt Official Wirfeless.h RUGBY, February 24. The gallantry of a peacetime hero is acknowledged today by the announcement of the award of the Edward Medal to John Dixon, an electrician working on a crane gantry in a foundry at Lincoln. Dixon rescued a crane driver whose clothes were ablaze following an outbreak of fire in the foundry, and carried him on to the roof and down a vertical ladder 31 feet long to safety, although he was very badly burned himself.
