BERLIN CHARGES
POLISH ATROCITIES AGAINST
GERMANS
(Received February 12, 10.45 a.m.)
LONDON, February 11,
A new edition of the German Foreign Office publication "Polish Atrocities Against Germans in Poland" alleges that Poles murdered 58,000 of the German minority during September.
The Germans first officially claimed that 5487 had been murdered, and this was amended later to 12,000. The new edition alleges that even the new figure of 58,000 is riot final, because "hundreds of mass graves have been discovered, which cannot be opened until the spring on account of the weather."
