UNION'S GREAT DAY

SENIOR FOURS AND EIGHTS

WANGANUI, This Day.

The Wanganui regatta was held on Saturday in wet weather, but good water conditions. A feature of the day was the win of Union in the senior fours and eights from Clifton and New South Wales respectively. In the fours Union won by half a length, and in the eights by a canvas after a fine finish. R. Smith (Auckland) won the single sculls from K. Webb (New South Wales) by a good margin.

The results were:—

Maiden Fours, open.—Union, 1; Aramoho, 2; Victoria University, 3. Four lengths; length. Senior Fours. —Union, 1; Clifton, 2; Aramoho. 3. Half a length; three lengths. ■ ■ -. Maiden Single Sculls. —Petone, 1; Aramoho. 2; Napier. 3. Five lengths; two lengths.
