The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Ltd., Palmerston North, reporting on their usual weekly sale, state that a small entry of pigs came forward, prices for porkers being considerably in excess of last week's realisations. A total clearance was made. Poultry was in the usual supply. Pigs: Best weaners, lis to 16s; small, 7s to 10s; heavy stores,.33s to 37s 6d; porkers, £2 3s, £2 9s, £2 10s, £2 15s. Poultry: Best W.L. hens 4s to 5s per pair, best 80. hens 6s to 7s, light hens 3s to 3s 6d per pair; cockerels, heavy 7s to 9s per pair, medium 5s to 6s per pair, small 2s to 4s per pair; pullets, forward 6s to 7s 2d each, backward 3s to 5s each; ducks. 2s 6d to 5s per pair. Fruit and produce: Apples, Gravensteins, extra fancy, 8s to 9s 6d, fancy 6s to 7s per case, cookers 5s to 7s 9d; pears, W.B.C. 9s to 9s 9d per three-quarter case; peaches, dessert 5s to. 7s 9d, cooking 3s 6d to 4s 6d; plums, dessert 4s to 6s. cooking 2s to 4s; nectarines, 3s 6d to 6s 6d; apricots. Roxburgh 8s to lis 6d; greengages 8s to 12s 6d; tomatoes. Bay View, ls 6d to 3s, H.H. 4d to 5d per lb; cabbages, 2s to 5s per sack; cauliflowers, 6s to 9s; lettuce, 3s to 7s 9d; beans, 4s to 16s per case; peas, 2d to 4Jd per lb; cucumbers, 2s to 4s per case; marrows, 2s to 2s 6d per case; pumpkins, 5s lo 7s 6d per sack; carrots, 4s to 6s 9d; parsnips, 5s to 7s 9d; spinach, 2s to 5s per case; potatoes, 4s to 5s per cwt: onions, 5s to 6s 6d per sugar bag.
The Slock Exchange has received today a cablegram from Capel Court Investment Co., Melbourne, advising that the directors recommend a dividend of 3 per cent., payable March 11.
