Lieui-Colonel A. H. A. Empson is one of several officers gazetted as being restored to the Effective List of the Indian Army, states J'The; Post's" London correspondent. -Colonel Empson, son of the late Mr. W. Empson, of Wanganui, saw considerable service in the Bth Indian Cavalry. He served during the Great War and was mentioned in dispatches. Returning to Indiat in 1919, he was stationed at Poona. Later he became commandant of the Ist Battalion (Prince of Wales's Own), 12th Frontier Force Regiment. Subsequently he was Cdmmandaht of Kit* chener College at Nowgong.
