MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Sentences of three months' imprisonment with hard labour were imposed upon Patrick Jepson, a labourer, aged 48, and Patrick Murphy, a labourer, aged 57, who appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, charged with being rogues and vagabonds in that they had no visible lawful means of support. Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan said that the accused were ' addicted to methylated spirits. Arthur John Robert Lankshear, a storeman, aged 21, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months for stealing 3s 6d in money, the property of Gladys Miller.
