SECOND EXPLOSION
IN VIVIAN STREET TCIDAY
j A second explosion occurred this morning in Vivian' Street, but here it seems evident that it was caused by a standard detonator or heavypercussioa cap. Occasionally one is placed on | the tracks by persona who obviously should not have them in; .their possession, but beyond making -a/startling bang no harm is done- The Vivian Street explosion took place between 9 and 10 o'clock, when, the street was quite busy, and it is possible that if the detonator or cap was placed deliberately, someone observed the action but took no particular notice. Detonators can fall on to tram tracks, but the chances of one remaining on the rail are small indeed. The Police and Tramways Departments would ba^ interested in accounts of passers-by who saw any person placing an object on the track, either in Adelaide Road or Vivian Street.
