The Foreign Minister, Mr. Sandier, in a speech, said that the defeat of Finland would place Sweden in a difficult position in which she could no longer be sure -
that her time-honoured front'rrs could be preserved. She could only; feel a degree of safety if si was prepared to back up her independence with force.
