JOURNALISTS

LONDON, January 20. A conference of the National, Union of Journalists unanimously passed a resolution deploring the Government censorship distribution, the suppression of important news not informative to the enemy, and attempts to influence policy by deletions.

The conference is urging censorship only when news is strategically valuable to the enemy, and is requesting the reorganisation of the Press and Censorship Bureau "to become a weapon of democracy instead of being the tool of the Service Departments."
