LITERARY AWARD

DUNEDIN, This Day.

For the sixth occasion in succession, the Macmillan Brown prize, competed for by students of the New Zealand University, has been won by an Otago student, this year's winner being Miss Catherine Passmore. The prize, valued at £25, is awarded to encourage literary work. Miss Passm ore's entry, under the pen name of "Tempus," was a poem entitled "Flight of Time."
