Mails (except parcel malls) will be closed at Chief Post Office, Wellington, Cl, as under:— Mails close at Post Office, Te Aro, C 2, and Wellington East, C 3, one half-hour prior to the closing of mails at the Chief Post Office, between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Mails for Auckland, per "Limited" express, close at these offices at 4.45 p.m.) For closing times of parcel mails, boohs, etc., see footnote. OVERSEAS (OUTWARD). TUESDAY, JANUARY 23. Australian States and countries via Australia, 5 p.m. Other overseas mails will be dispatched as opportunity offers. ■ ' OVERSEAS AIR MAILS: RATES OF POSTAGE. Empire Air Services. —Great Britain, Ireland, Empire countries, Egypt, and Irak, Is 6d each %oz; foreign countries, special r,ates apply (minimum), Is 6d each %oz. For further particulars inquire at any Post Office. Australia and New Guinea.—lnternal services, 5d each %oz. United States of America. —Internal services. Is each J/£oz. Other Air Services.—For particulars. Inquire at any Post Office. Letters for Empire countries prepaid at the rate of 2d first %oz are forwarded by best available surface dispatch. Only one complete delivery by postmen will be made from Wellington, Wellington South, and Kilbirnie on Monday (Anniversary Day). The delivery will commence at approximately 8 a.m. INLAND MAILS.
