FORECAST

Winds.— Northerly at first over part of the Auckland Peninsula, but otherwise moderate to strong winds between south-east and southwest from Marlborough northwards. Light to fresh northerlies or north-easterlies predominating in the south. Seas. —Bather rough to rough about and north of Cook Strait. Slight to moderate thence southwards. Weather. —Cloudy to overcast and unsettled from Taranaki and Hawke's Bay northwards, with occasional rain, but improving later from the west. Fair to fine over the remainder ot the country. Temperatures moderate to mild.
