HUTT HIGH SCHOOL
The monthly meeting of the Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors was held on Thursday. The principal, Mr. J. N. Millard, reported having selected a part-time physical instructor to undertake remedial work. He was now awaiting approval of the appointment -by the Department. A communication was received from the principal of the Waitaki Boys' High School on the dangers of teachers allowing their own opinions to influence their teaching of history and civics, especially in the discussion of current topics. The board took no I action. Mr. E. Hutt was cordially thanked for his interest in the school garden, and Mr. H. G. Teagle for his presentation of a medal for the dux of the school. _____^________»
