Eighteen replicas of Maori carvings have been placed on exhibition in the museum at Sydney for three-months. This series is being lent by the Auckland War Memorial Museum for circulation among Australian museums.

A beautiful morning drew a large crowd to the Exhibition today. There is no doubt that the Maoris are a great draw. They add a touch of colour to the grounds and courts, and are even more interested than the pakehas in ■ the modern domestic facilities, advantages of communications, and compendious statistical data of the Government .Court, which to a certain extent is the result of their own national collaboration. The Maori meeting-house is one of the chief centres or attraction at the Exhibition, and visitors are daily adding to their knowledge of Maori handicraft, arts, and customs. Playland was busy with a holiday Yesterday's attendance ... 9,182 Total (33 days) 462,601 crowd, and the indications are that there will be a big attendance this evening. There will be a model aeroplane display in the Transportation Court on Monday. YESTERDAY'S FEATURES. i As usual on Fridays, when the demands of shopping require attention, the attendance at the Exhibition was $ot a heavy one; the figure was just dyer. 9000. Nor was the weather in the evening particularly attractive, and the indoor attractions were- more powerful than those outside. Nevertheless Playland did steady business. Conspicious by their numbers last night were men in military uniform, most of them enjoying the start»of their final leave, and there were also many school children, released from the year's work. The Boys' Institute Band entertained those in the Exhibition grounds with a programme from the southern band shell. The fountain played for a while early in the evening. Indoors the principal events were the concerts presented by the Arawa and Ngati-Poneke Maoris.- The newly opened Maori Court drew interested crowds, and many Maoris were among the visitors to the Exhibition. New exhibits in the aquarium in the Government Court include tench and lampreys, whose antics in their glasswalled prisons drew many people last night.
