Form was no easier to' follow at Feilding last week than it usually has been on that course. Siegmund's trip to Feilding for the final clay was the result of a late decision. It was such a trip to Riccarton last Easter that saw him win the Great Autumn. Maxarn was scratched for the Railway Handicap on the first day of the Auckland Racing Club's Summer Meeting at 3.20 p.m. last Friday. One of the two-year-olds seen out at Feilding who promises to win races is the Vaals—Airway filly Air Flight, a half-sister to Silvanus. Airway, who was by Tree Lucerne, was a useful galloper in her day. Serenata, the three-year-old fullsister to Russian Ballet, was confidently backed to win the hack distance event at Feilding on Saturday, and though she weakened out of the money her. effort drew attention to her early future prospects.. According to a Riccarton .report, A. McMullan has leased a. two-year-old colt by Lord Warden—Pleasant Memory from Colonel J. Stafford, his breeder. He is a black and may develop into a good sort. A Hastings exchange states that Sternchase is working excellently on the tracks at present, and on Saturday morning he did the best five furlongs in lmin 3 2-ssec. Beaulivre, who lost some of his bloom after his racing at Riccarton, was physicked last week and received dental treatment. He has picked up quickly, however, and looks at his very best again, the report cdncludes..
