(By Air Mail, from "The Post's" London Representative.)
LONDON, November 3.
An audience with the King, a luncheon given by the Empire Parliamentary Committee, a visit to the Mansion House to meet the Lord Mayor of London, and the opportunity of attending the House of Commons to hear the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, make his weekly statement, have.been among the engagements of the Hon. They have been supplementary, of course, to a number of important conversations and the start of the Empire War Conference. These talks are naturally private and no statement is being made for the time being.
The Empire Parliamentary Association arranged a small private luncheon at the House of Commons to enable some members of the association to meet the New Zealand Minister. Among those present were Mr. Malcolm MacDonald (Colonial Secretary ), Mr. C. R. Attlee (Leader of the Opposition), Mr. W. J. Jordan (High Commissioner for New Zealand), Captain Crookshank, Mr. Arthur Greenwood, Sir Edward Grigg, Sir Percy Harris, Sir Eric Machtig, Sir Howard D'Egville, and Mr. Ormond Wilson, ex-M.P. for Rangitikei. *
.. With other visiting Dominion Ministers, Mr. Fraser lunched with the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House yesterday, an* 4 later went to the House of Commons, where places in the members' own gallery were placed at the disposal of the visitors. Mr. Chamberlain's speech lasted for about ten minutes, and after hearing Mr. C. R. Attlee, Leader of the Opposition, the Dominion Ministers left to attend another engagement.
