The gallant work recently accomplished by lifeboats around the British coasts is exemplified by the experience of one Kentish lifeboat crew to whom the Royal National Lifeboat Institution made awards amounting to over £12 4s. They were called out eight times in eight days, were at sea for nearly 24 hours, and landed eight men and rescued 53.
