Judgeford Country Club. —The Tucker Cup Consolation (18 holes) is to be played tomorrow.

Shandon Ladies' Midweek Club.—-The club i held a very successful closing day on Wed-j nesday last, when about 80 visitors and members took part in a fourball best-ball competition. Winning cards: Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. Evans, 89, 25—64, and Mrs. Macaskil) and j Miss J. Frazer, 85, 21—64. The former won on the count back. Mrs. Dodson won the put- ! ting competition.. The .captain, Mrs. J. [ Zaeharlah, welcomed the visitors, and congratulated those players who had won trophies. After these had been distributed, Mrs. Sotham, on behalf of the members, made presentations to the captain, i lembers of the committee, and the honorary secretary. FIXTURES. The Rt. Rev. C. West-Watson (Bishop of Christchurch) will hold a confirmation service at > St. Thomas's Church, Newtown, at 11 a.m. tomorrow. As this church has one of the best choirs in the city., a good congregation is expected. This will be the last confirmation service held this year.
