Kenneth William Cpmpton, aged 23, a soldier, pleaded guilty to wilfully breaking an orange jar valued at £4 10s, the property of P. Bares.' Sergeant Saunders said that Compton pushed the jar off the- counter' of a milk bar last night. He was ordered to make good the damage. • ( v
A sentence of six -months' imprison-, ment with hard labour was imposed upon John William Graves, aged 35. a labourer; who pleaded guilty to a charge of wilful and obscene, exposure. Graves said he was discharged from "VVi Tako prison yesterday morning and he remembered nothing after visiting a city hotel. The police said he had previous convictions^ . ■>:".-. A remand until next Friday was granted,'in the case of Donald Kirkland, aged 30, a steward, who is charged with .unlawfully converting to his own use a car valued at £140, the property of L. J. Thomas, and with having been in a state of intoxication while in charge of a car in Oriental Parade. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. i ■ ' -
