EMPIRE AIR SCHEME
AUSTRALIA'S BIG PART
OTTAWA, November 1
The Australian Associated Press understands that the Australian participation in the Empire air scheme will be far greater than New Zealand's and somewhat greater than Canada's, but less than the British.
The Australian delegates; Messrs. Fairburn and Jones, today conferred briefly and informally with the Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. Mackenzie King, the Defence Minister, Mr. Rogers,, and the leader of the British Mission, Lord Riverdale.
The Australians were told that Britain has drawn up a tentative proposal regarding the trainees and the costs which Britain hopes Australia will meet.
The delegates were given offices in the House of Commons.
