ANOTHER SHIP ESCAPES
(Received November 3, 1.5 p.m.) 1 LONDON, November 2. A message from Gibraltar says it is officially stated that the British steamer Egba (4989 tons), escaped from a submarine 240 miles east of Madeira; The U-boat opened fire, but the Egba was not hit.
