HEALTH CAMP FOR AUCKLAND
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. November 2. A definite step towards the establish inent of Auckland's permanent health camp, which is to be built with money allocated from the King George V Memorial Fund, has been taken with the selection of a site of 174 acres near Mellon's Beach Howick. The Auckland Centra.. Council of the National Children't Health Camp Or ganisation is now awaiting the Health Department's approval of the site and will begin construction of the camp immediately that is received. . Plans are being prepared for a camp to accommodate 100 children in winter and from 100" to 200 in summex. i A permanent camp will catei for children for whom a short stay at the summer camps is not sufficient and will enable them to remain from six weeks to six months. The camp will relieve pressure on the accommodation at existing camps at Motuihi, Port Waikato, and Campbell's Bay.
