CHILD FATALLY HURT

Fatal head injuries; were received by Leonie Crawford, of Ngahauranga, aged five years, late yesterday afternoon, when she ran into the back of a lorry on the Hutt Road at Ngahauranga after alighting with her mother from a bus. The lorry was travelling towards Petone and the mother and her- child were walking across the road when the accident happened. The child received severe head injuries and died soon afterwards.
