MADRID, November 1.
Senor Suner, president of tlie Falange Political Council, in a broadcast speech, said "hidden enemies" were sabotaging the Government's efforts by means of hoarding and profiteering. He appealed to the Falange Party to assist the Government to combat these elements, declaring that the party itself would welcome the purification of its own
ranks,
The Government intended to assume control of the country's food with the object of assisting the poorer classes. The civil war had resulted in serious, shortages in national production, especially of wheat, sugar, and olive oil. Imports so far had not bridged the large gaps.
