Provision for income tax £168,500, net profit £116,866. These are two features in the annual report" of Woolworths (N.Z.) Ltd.. Sydney. The Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand is advised by cable today that, subject to audit'and after making provision for income tax, the net profit for the year ended' October 2, 1939, is as above stated. The directors have declared a final dividend on ordinary shares of 11 per cent., making 16. per cent, per annum. Transfer books will be closed from November -7l>io November 30, inclusive. V The annual meeting of-the-company will be held in Sydney on December 12 next. An extraordinary '"general meeting will follow the.annual meeting, the business being, alteration of the articles of association .in-order to comply with requirements c£ the Australian Stock Exchange, the changes proposed, it is understood, being, for the purpose of listing the shares on the Stock Exchanges of Australia.
