SEAMEN'S WAGES
INCREASE DEMANDED
MOVE IN AUSTRALIA

SYDNEY, This Day.
A demand for a 20 per cent, increase in wages has been made by the Seamen's Union arid jothev maritime organisations for all members of crews in inter-State ships and vessels serving New Zealand, the Pacific .Islands, and Australia which are controlled by the Commonwealth Navigation Act. About 1500 employees are involved.
