THREE MORE LOSSES
STEAMER & TWO TRAWLERS

LONDON, October 30.
A U-boat sank the British steamer Malabar (7976 tons) in the Atlantic, and 70 survivors were landed at a West of England port. An engineer and four Lascars who were trapped in the engine room lost their lives.
The Hull steari* trawler St. Nidan (565 tons) was sunk, it is believed, byenemy action, as it was returning from the fishing grounds. The crew of 15 were saved. The Grimsby trawler Lynx II (256 tons) was sunk in the North Sea as a result of enemy action, the crew of 10 being landed in Scotland. The Lynx, which was sunk by gunfire, is the first loss the Grimsby fishing fleet has sustained.
The. name of the Norwegian steamer which was sunk on October 9 was Varangmalm (3618 tons).
