SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT

The.third of the Sunday night concerts presented this season by the Kilbirnie Wrestling and Sports Club was given in the De Luxe Theatre last night before a "full house." Many at Wellington's leading artists contributed to the programme, and insistent applause' from the audience drew encores to every item. The artists were Mr. Roland Lavine (Wurlitzer organ), ballet pupils of Miss Vedris Cathcart, eight-year-old Allan Vann (song and dance), Mr. L. Mcllvride (baritone and Spanish guitar), "The Yodelling Girl," the Hillbilly Troupe (by courtesy of Mrs. McGowan), Miss Dorothy Seymour (character sketches), Mr. Assheton Harbord, Peter Rowell (comic song), Mr. Herbert F; Wood (tenor), "The Centennial Footballers" ballet, Mr. Doug. Kedzlie (piano-accordion), Mr. Ron Wakelin, and as a grand finale, a patriotic tableau, produced and costumed by Miss Marjorie , Vause, with Wurlitzer organ music arranged by Messrs. Harbord and Lavine. As a result of the show there will be a considerable addition to the fund to buy a gymnasium to provide a permanent home for physical culture in Kilbirnie.
