The following are the results of the judging, at meat works, of lambs and pigs exhibited at the recent Wairarapa Show:—
Wellington Judging.—Lambs: Pen 693, McKenzie Estate, 1 (unplaced at show)'; pen 690, Arch. Clark, 2 (unplaced at show); pen 686, T. Moorcock, 2 (second at show); pen 685, T. Moorcock, 4 (unplaced at show); pen 694 a, H. A. Bockett, 5 (first at show).
Waingawa Judging.—Pigs: Class 363, pen 775, H. Benson, 1 (first at show); pen 774, Miss Gloria Kempton, 2 (unplaced at show); pen 773, W. A. Kempton, 3 (unplaced at show). Class 365, pen 781, Rayner and Hood, 1 (second at show); pen 785, G. W. Busby, 2 (first at show). Class 266, pen 789, W. A. Kempton, 1 (second at show); pen 788, Miss M. School committee work in country centres demands more than in the cities of the men and women who give their time and their ability in the cause of education. There are many instances of long service, but one of the best is that of Mr. W. K. Morris, of Oakura (Taranaki), who has just completed forty years on the local committee. He is still acting there. His father served nearly twenty years as member and chairman, the two thus covering nearly sixty years continuous!*'
