HURDLER INELIGIBLE

After making the trip from Takanini, Lapidarian had to forgo his engagement in the Hunters' Hurdles at the Waikato Hunt Club's Annual Meeting at Cambridge on Monday. His lastminute withdrawal was due to the fact that he was ineligible owing to having won the Trial Hurdles, of £350, at the Auckland Racing Club's Spring Meeting. The Waikato event was for horses who had not won a race of any description of the value of more than £250, or races of any description of the collective value of £500 prior to the time of starting. The same conditions applied to the Ladies' Bracelet Handicap, in which. Lapidarian was also engaged.
