LONDON, October 23. The Ankara correspondent of th« "Daily Mail" says that arrangements have been concluded for a £60,000,000 British and French loan to Turkey, of which 25 per cent, will be spent oa armaments.

A Foreign Office announcement say* that reports from Ankara of a large British and French loan to Turkey are without authority but that there have been conversations between the British, French, and Turkish Governments regarding financial assistance to Turkey and that arrangements are being made under this heading in the general spirit of the newly-concluded treaty.
