P. Hayvice (Jewish Club) defeated "{ D. McKenzie (Wellington Working v. Men's Club) in the first of-last night's matches in the' Wellington provincial '-„ amateur snooker championship being.' J played at the rooms of Messrs. Billiards, Limited. McKenzie was 43 points behind at the conclusion of the first game, and Hayvice won the match -- by 105-68. A. Wakem (Federal Club) ; and B. Davis (Miramar Room) had a very close tussle.
