TAWA FLAT LIGHTING
. » The Makara County Council agreed today to four extra street lights for the north end of Tawa Flat. It was decided not to sanction further street lights unless ratepayers sign a petition agreeing to pay a special rate for the lights they require. • The north end branch of the Tawa Flat Progressive Association sought the council's approval of the name "Linden" to the new station which is to be built there shortly and also to the surrounding district. It was decided fto reply that the council had no objection to the name, but had no power in the matter.
