SUPPORT OF MAORIS
(By Telegraph—l'ress Association.! WANGANUI, This Day. That the Maoris of Wanganui will -upport ■ the Government's defence policy was a decision reached at a meeting of representatives of the Wanganui tribe. The following resolution \w, carried unanimously and forwarded to the Minister of Defence by Mr. T. W. Ratana, M.P.:—"That the Wanganui tribe fully supports the Government's defence policy in the present crisis, and offers wholeheartedly the services of its people for active service, and strongly urges th^t all Maoris serve in a separate unit"
