WELCOME TO MRS. FULLER

The council of the Academy of Fine Arts gave a luncheon party at Kirkcaldie and Stains to'welcome back to I Wellington Mrs. Murray Fuller, who j has just returned from England and | the Continent of Europe. Mrs. Fuller. las the official representative of the | National Art Gallery, has brought out Ito New Zealand an international col- | lection of Continental art which will be shown in the Wellington galleries during the Centennial celebrations. Those present at the luncheon were Messrs. G. Gibbes Watson (president), E. W. Hunt, W. S. Wauchop, Roland Hipkins, Nugent Welch, Harry Atkinson, A. D. Carbery, Robert Stout, E. D. Gore, and D. A. Ewen (chairman of the management committee of the National Art Gallery). Mrs. Fuller gave her hosts a great deal of interesting news regarding artists and galleries in England, France. Belgium, and Holland, and also about the magnificent collection of 560 works which she assembled for the exhibition. The pictures are expected to arrive at Wellington shortly.
