TOC H EVERYMAN'S CLUB
The Toe H Everyman's Club, which aims at providing a place of recreation for all men in uniform irrespective of rank, was officially opened by Dr. C. G. Kemp last night at the Wellington headquarters of the organisation.
In introducing Dr. Kemp, the chairman of the management committee, Mr. S. Mair, described him as an old soldier who had many times visited the original Toe H house in Poperinghe. Flanders, during the Grea+ War. Mr. Mair expressed the thanks of the management committee to the crippled boys' and crippled girls' clubs, which had provided equipment for games.Dr. Kemp welcomed uniformed men who were present, and said he hoped that they would come as often as they could. He felt that the club would be a great asset in cementing friendship between the men.
Replying on behalf of the men, Private R. A. Huffadine thanked Dr. Kemp and gave an assurance that they appreciated what Toe H was doing. They all felt that the club would be a great success.
