SMALL FIRES
At 5.32 a.m. today the Central Fire Brigade received a call to the City Corporation Yard, where rubbish had ignited. At 8 p.m. yesterday the brigade extinguished a small fire which caused slight damage to. one of the sheds at the Boat Harbour, Oriental Bay, and at 10.40 p.m. a blaze in a railway shed in Thorndon Quay was extinguished after slight' damage by burning and cutting away had been caused.
