A verdict that he took his own life by monoxide poisoning while in a state of mental depression was returned by the Coroner yesterday at an inquest into the death of a married man, Graeme Leofric Home-Douglas, journalist, aged 31, whose body was found in a bedroom at his residence at Havelock North on Tuesday. The! car was backed against the wall outside the room, and a hose led from the exhaust pipe through the window to the interior of the room. The engine was still switched on, although it was not funning, there being no benzine in the petrol tank.
