f,. SYDNEY, September 20. Thj New Zealander Gold Salute was in a class above his opponents in the Three-Year-Old Handicap at Warwick Farm today. He won quite easily. Gold Salute will now start, in the A.J.C. Derby, in which he will, be ridden by A. E. Ellis, who rode him today. Ellis was summoned before the stewards for allegedly interfering with another horse. He received a warning and a reprimand. THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP, £250; 7 furlongs. Gold.Salute. 9.4' (Ellis) 1 Jazbeau, 8.10 (W. Cook) 2 Pearl of Asia. 8.11 (Lappin) 3 Seventeen started. One length and a half; three lengths. Time, lmin 25£ sec. The Flying Handicap resulted in a dead heat between Tuhitarata and Normandy, with Might Not third.
